Professor Potvin joined Suffolk’s full-time faculty in 2005 and spent four years as the associate director of graduate programs in accounting. She currently serves as an academic advisor to Suffolk’s graduate accounting students and a career mentor for many alumni. She is on the advisory board of Suffolk’s Center for Teaching and Scholarly Excellence and a member of the Technology in Learning and Teaching Committee and the Quality Matters Implementation Team.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Professor Potvin is actively involved in the MSCPA. Since 2009, she has served on the board of the society’s Educational Foundation as a member of the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee.
Prior to her career in academia, Professor Potvin spent more than 20 years working in industry, including seven years at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). She held a variety of roles in internal auditing, consulting, project management, software training, SEC reporting, and controllership.
