We offer a combination of non-credit academic programs, as well as seminars and workshops focusing on the needs of the entrepreneurship community. Leveraging the strength of our faculty, academic programs, and alumni base, we offer programs in the following areas:

Government Contracting

Our online Government Contracting Executive Education Program assists government-funded startups with developing an infrastructure and business attitude towardscommercialization. This program focuses on the mindset of the founders, financialcompliance, legal compliance and commercialization.

The program is $750 per course. (A discount is available for Suffolk University alumni.)

Courses include:

G­101 ­Thinking Strategically About Commercialization: The first part of this introductory course will combine opportunity recognition (through the solicitation process), entrepreneurial thinking and new product innovation to help position the company for a commercialization attitude as the proposals are prepared. Thinking about where you want to be as part of a commercialization or exit strategy will have a profound effect on the organization’s portfolio of federal awards.

The second part of this course will take your newly developed intellectual property, review the needs for reproducibility, and identifying the needs of executing a commercialization strategy. In this course, you will utilize knowledge and skills in the areas of marketing, finance, accounting, operations, and management to develop a feasibility plan to position your company towards a business model to commercialize.

G­102 Understanding the Financial Requirements of Federal Awards: The second course in our program focuses on adequate, compliant accounting system, as well as establishing and utilizing an indirect rate structure to provide a reimbursement mechanism to meet cash flow needs and resources necessary for completing the scope of government contracts, as well as maximize government funding towards protection of intellectual property and commercialization.

G­103 Understanding the Legal Requirements of Federal Awards: The final course of our program focuses on understanding the terms of your federal award, other terms and conditions associated with procurement, modifications, negotiations, protection of intellectual property, federal acquisition regulations, agency guides and exceptions, and more.

Refund Policy: 100% before the start of the first online chat session, 50% before the start of the second online chat session. No refunds after the start of the second online chat session.

Joint Programs

The Center for Entrepreneurship develops inter-disciplinary opportunities with other schools with the Suffolk University community, as well as alliances with other academic, nonprofit and commercial organizations.

In the past, the Center has teamed up with Suffolk Law School’s Center for Advanced CLE and Academic Conferences to co-sponsor a joint seminar focusing on business and legal issues that confront startups and small businesses.

Entrepreneur Speaker Series

The Entrepreneur Speaker Series consists of two to four events during each academic year and highlight entrepreneurial topics and student and alumni successes in the field of entrepreneurship.
