Number of Courses and Length of Program

The Suffolk MBA Online is a 10 to 18 course program, depending on your educational background. See our course waiver and transfer credit policy and our accelerated degree options.

Complete the Suffolk MBA Online in 10 to 16 months full-time; or 16 to 28 months part-time; depending on your educational background. Alternatively, take up to five years to complete the Suffolk MBA Online.

Full- or Part-Time Status

You may apply to the program as a full-time or part-time student. 

  • Full-time: 12 to 15 credits per semester (4 or 5 courses)
  • Part-time: less than 12 credits per semester (1, 2, or 3 courses)
In today’s competitive business world, opportunities present themselves to high achievers. Once admitted to the Suffolk MBA Online, you may move between full- and part-time status simply by changing the number of credits in which you enroll.

Fully Online or Blend With Campus Courses

The Suffolk MBA may be completed fully online. Alternatively, you may complement your online experience with Suffolk MBA courses at our campus locations in Boston and North Andover, Massachusetts.

Transfer Credit from a Campus Near You

As a Suffolk MBA Online student, you may transfer six credits of electives from an AACSB accredited campus-based MBA Program near where you live. The transfer credit course must be one not currently offered in the Suffolk MBA Online Program.

Required Introductory Course – 1 credit

Effective Career Planning

Core Courses – 24 credits/9 courses – may be waived

Required Capstone Courses – 6 credits/2 courses

Electives – 24 credits/8 courses

Select from among electives in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, information systems, international business, marketing, organizational behavior, strategic management, and taxation.

International Business Area Requirement

One elective must be in the international business area.  MKIB 817 and FNIB 825 are offered online to fulfill this requirement.
