Programs and Workshops

The Center for Innovation and Change Leadership (CICL) creates and offers workshops and non-degree training and resources in innovation and change leadership topics to executives, alumni and other practitioners.

The Innovation and Change Leadership Workshop Series is an annual event sponsored by CICL since 2003. We have so far organized five annual workshops and a sixth one is planned for 2007.

Explore Best Practices in Managing Projects and Implementing Change
Wednesday, October 10th, 2007
Joe Turner and Ken Kerber will lead a discussion of successful and unsuccessful project management. In small groups participants will explore best practices in managing projects and in implementing change. Participants will learn how to establish very specific roles and responsibilities to gain agreement on a set of steps to be followed and to build pathways for necessary interactions between functions and levels of management.

Innovation and Speed-to-Market in Design Driven Industries

Innovation’s Critical Success Factors

Creative Realities, Inc. presented a Spring 2005 workshop to the Suffolk University business and alumni communities on “9 Success Factors in Innovation”. These factors include a compelling case for action, an inspiring shared strategic vision, a fully aligned innovation agenda, team work in support of passionate champions, a creatively resourced multifunctional team, open-minded exploration of market place drivers, and a well-defined yet flexible implementation process. Creative Realities defines innovation as the process of envisioning and implementing new ways of doing anything that creates value to an enterprise and its customers.

Creative Sparks: Igniting Innovation through Theory and Practice
April 22, 2004
Concord Colonial Inn, Concord, MA featured CICL Director DeFillippi and CICL Board member, Suffolk alumnus, and inventor Dr. Sushil Bhatia providing academic and practitioner perspectives on innovation and the creative process to Suffolk’s Metro West Alumni Chapter.

The Discipline of Innovation
November 6, 2003
Marriott Hotel, Burlington, MA was a half-day workshop for Suffolk executive alumni and route 128 business executives. Dr. Len Polizzotto, Vice-President for Business Development and Marketing of SRI, International presented SRI’s world famous process for SRI Value Creation.
