Students in the Sawyer Business School run several clubs and organizations whose programs, speakers, and activities revolve around the career development and knowledge, service opportunities, networking and professional skills. These groups are collegial, fun, and filled with opportunities to learn both as a student and a future business leader. Attend meetings and events - they are shaped around the interests of club members. Acquire skills and experience by participating in club-sponsored projects and by taking on leadership roles. Get involved!
One key to becoming a professional is to develop a broad network and effective networking skills. Participating in clubs lets you meet guest speakers from Boston-area businesses, local alumni, and current students (who, like you, will soon be graduates with connections across many industries). Joining a student organization can link you to networks that take you places.
Explore the list above see what each club offers – even those whose titles aren’t initially suggestive of a match for your interests or major. For example, Women in Business events are open to men and NABA hosts events and case competitions that are open to students of all majors and ethnic backgrounds. NOTE: Each club also has a page in Campus Cruiser that lists upcoming events and membership information.
