• Concentrations in the MBA

Specialize in One of Eleven Concentrations

Top three reasons to select a concentration:
1. Develop a new expertise
2. Position yourself for a promotion
3. Prepare to re-enter the job market

Because all electives are offered in the evening on the Boston campus, at either 4:30 to 7:10 p.m. or 7:15 to 9:55 p.m., most part-time and full-time students do select a concentration.

A concentration, however, is not required. If you have significant work experience in your chosen field, you might instead select electives from diverse areas to increase the breadth of your management skills and your ability to work in cross-functional teams.

In most cases, students complete 4 of their 8 electives in one area to form a concentration.
