Suffolk's most generous donors, members of the Summa Society and Frost Society, gathered with student scholarship recipients and University leadership at the Omni Parker House Rooftop Ballroom on December 8, 2016 for the annual Summa Holiday Reception. The University honored Leonard J. Samia, BSBA '69, for his leadership philanthropy and its impact on current and future students through scholarships.
Active Campus Life at Suffolk Inspires Alumni Career Choices
The best piece of advice alumnus Patrick Nobrega, BA '12, ever received as a Suffolk student came from staff members who encouraged him to "get involved." Nobrega shares a common thread with a number of Suffolk alumni, whose hands-on and positive experiences at the University motivated them to pursue careers working with students in the academic environment.

Thom Busby, BS '09, MBA '16 Helps Students Gain Experience in Life Sciences and Technology
Investment Banking firm, Outcome Capital and the Sawyer Business School (SBS) are partnering to provide "real-world exposure" to undergraduate and graduate students. Working with the firm's analysts, vice presidents, and senior bankers, students will assist in building market and revenue models and valuation, along with researching transitional structures. This partnership can in-part be attributed to Suffolk alumnus and Outcome Capital firm member Thom Busby, BS '09, MBA '16. Busby is an active alum serving on both the Alumni Association Board and the SBS Young Alumni Board of Advisors and was recently interviewed by Suffolk's student run newspaper, The Suffolk Journal.
