Testing requirements and waiver information vary by program.

  • Administration of Higher Education

    A GRE, GMAT or MAT is required. You may be eligible for a waiver if you meet one of the following:

    • You have graduated from an accredited college or university with a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or above (out of 4.0), or from Suffolk University with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above

    -OR-

    • You have at least three years of relevant, full-time experience in a higher education setting, pending review and evaluation by the Graduate Admission Committee
  • Clinical Psychology

    Does not offer a testing waiver. A GRE is required.

  • Communication

    A GRE, GMAT or MAT is required. You may be eligible for a waiver if:

    • You have graduated from an accredited college or university with a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or above (out of 4.0), or from Suffolk University with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above

    -OR-

    • You have at least three years of relevant, full-time experience in a professional work setting, pending review and evaluation by the Graduate Admission Committee
  • Crime and Justice Studies

    Does not require standardized testing.

  • Ethics and Public Policy

    Does not require standardized testing.

  • Graphic Design

  • Interior Architecture

  • Mental Health Counseling

    A GRE, GMAT or MAT is required. You may be eligible for a waiver if:

    • You have graduated from an accredited college or university with a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or above (out of 4.0), or from Suffolk University with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above
  • Political Science

    Does not require standardized testing.

Sawyer Business School

A GMAT or GRE is required for admission into graduate programs offered by the Business School. You may be eligible for a waiver if you meet certain criteria, as outlined below. Please note that all GPA requirements are based on a scale of 4.0.

  • Accounting (MSA)

    • You have passed the CPA exam (Documentation is required)
