Dive into an American education at a university recognized by U.S. News & World Report as having the fifth-largest proportion of international students among United States institutions. Nearly one in four Suffolk University students come from outside the United States; we’re experts at helping graduate students like you acclimate to academic and campus life.

We’re proud of our reputation for diversity and inclusiveness in the middle of cosmopolitan Boston, an international academic capital that’s home to around 50,000 students from overseas. Many of our faculty members hail from countries around the world as well, bringing a wealth of perspectives, experience, and ideas that enrich our graduate students’ education.

You’ll need to do a few things before arriving on campus for our welcome event just for international students:

  • Make your deposit
  • Submit your statement of financial resources
  • Receive your immigration document (We’ll fill out the I-20 paperwork for you!)
  • Complete a transfer release form (if you’re a transfer student)
  • Apply for your F-1 student visa

Our International Student Services Office is here to work with you throughout your journey to graduate school at Suffolk. We look forward to welcoming you to our country and to our friendly campus in downtown Boston.
