Freshman Simon Leahy was named Rookie of the Week by ECAC Northeast Hockey on Nov. 25.

Leahy netted a pair of goals and added an assist in Suffolk’s 7-1 victory over Nichols College on Wednesday evening.

The freshman forward netted his first goal of the evening on a 5-on-3 power-play as part of a four-goal Rams explosion in the first period. He would later score his team-leading fifth goal of the year as he stole a Bison pass at center ice and broke in alone on four-on-four action in the third period. Leahy would cap off the night adding as assist on sophomore Mike Cherpak's goal in the waning seconds of the contest.

In five conference games this season, Leahy is tops among rookie skaters with six points, while his seven overall points on the year is a team-high.
