Working Together for Public Safety

Suffolk University is an urban school in a world-class city—public safety is a top priority on our campus at all times. For this reason, Suffolk’s own University police and security forces operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our police officers detect, deter and apprehend criminal offenders through prevention, cooperation and enforcement. Security officers are primarily used inside our buildings to maintain a fixed post, perform interior safety checks of buildings, enforce University rules and regulations, and deter criminal activity.

However, a truly safe campus can only be achieved with the cooperation of the entire University community including faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Personal safety is a personal responsibility and it involves everyone on campus. By working together we can make our campus a safe and peaceful place to live, learn and work.
