Changes to the Student Handbook

November 7, 2013:

Attendance and Absences: http://www.suffolk.edu/studenthandbook/19864.php. The following sentence was added to this page: Students may only attend courses for which they are officially registered.   

January 10, 2014:

Academic Honesty: http://www.suffolk.edu/studenthandbook/19863.php. The following sentence has been updated (see bold additions): Cheating on examinations, plagiarism, and/or improper acknowledgement of sources in essays or research papers, using unauthorized materials, prepared answers, teacher’s manuals, study guides or written notes, unauthorized collaboration on homework or computer assignments and the use of a single essay, paper or any assignment or work presented in more than one course, without the permission of the instructor, constitute unacceptable academic conduct.

January 24, 2014:

Withdrawing from All Courses, Leaves of Absence & Withdrawing from the University: http://www.suffolk.edu/studenthandbook/17845.php. The admissions deferment and leave of absence process for new/incoming students has been clarified. See below:

New/Incoming Students Wishing to Withdraw from All Courses Prior to the First Day of Classes or After Classes Have Started
Any new undergraduate or graduate students who wish to withdraw from all courses prior to the start of the term, must contact the appropriate admission office:

Undergraduate Admission: 617.573.8460        
Graduate Admission: 617.573.8302

The appropriate admissions office may defer the student's enrollment for another semester.

New/incoming students who wish to withdraw from all courses after the start of classes will be placed on a leave of absence.

Emergency Contact Information: http://www.suffolk.edu/studenthandbook/17545.php. The word automatically has been removed from the second paragraph. The term Connect-Ed in the second paragraph has been replaced with Rave.

Pets and Service Animal and Assistance Animal: http://www.suffolk.edu/studenthandbook/17838.php. Section III as been renamed Assistance Animals. It was previously titled Service Animals.
