The Department of Physics and Engineering offers three distinct paths for students:

Physics, the most fundamental science, is an integral part of many other disciplines, including astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth science, and engineering. Students can enroll in the major or minor in Physics, a rigorous lab-based curriculum with world-class facilities on campus at Suffolk and study abroad opportunities.

Electrical Engineering

Electrical engineers are problem solvers. This major will give you the mathematical and scientific skills to contribute to advances in electric power and technology, from phones and computers to the internet and radar.

Radiation Science

Explore a multi-faceted field that integrates physics, radiation, biology, chemistry, and mathematics. Programs in radiation science, radiation therapy, and medical dosimetry prepare students for meaningful careers in the field of cancer treatment.
