The First-Year Experience course (formerly SU101) is a once-a-week, one-credit course. It’s designed to enhance your first-year experience and ensure a successful transition to Suffolk and our unique urban community.
Through class discussions, readings, and engaging assignments, participants discuss a variety of topics, including academic success strategies, personal goals and self-awareness, and areas of personal interest. When the course is over, students should have an understanding of how to balance freedom and social responsibility within the framework of academic success.
The First-Year Experience course is unlike any other course because it is designed around your overall success as a student at Suffolk. This course will help you succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
